Both EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and Art Therapy are ways of processing traumatic events without having to be retraumatized by talking about the events- though talking about them is welcome as well. You do not need any artistic skill to do art therapy and it is by no means a requirement. It can be another way to explore and heal from trauma, however.
